Pronounced “geesh,” this piercing reportedly originated as a Tahitian male puberty rite, but can be performed on either male or female. Placement is usually centered, near front of perineum. Individual anatomy may make this piercing an uncomfortable one, in some cases.

INITIAL JEWELRY:

Captive bead ring, circular barbell in 14 - 12 gauge, 7/16" - 1/2” inside diameter; Shorter curved barbells in 14 - 12 gauge.
